Job summary

Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, invites you to join our Sales & Marketing Division as an Event Sales Manager (Wedding Planner) or an aspiring professional. Develop and manage wedding sales from inquiry to execution, building relationships with planners and couples.

Represent the resort at bridal shows, coordinate with internal teams to deliver luxurious wedding experiences, and create tailored proposals. Fluency in English; Mandarin a plus; flexibility to work weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in event/wedding planning or sales, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts.
• Fluent in oral and written English; local dialects; Mandarin an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage wedding sales from inquiries to event execution.
• Build relationships with wedding planners, bridal agencies, and couples.
• Create tailored wedding proposals and packages to exceed client expectations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless, luxurious wedding experiences.
• Represent the resort at bridal shows and industry events.
