Job summary

Hong Leong Bank, a leading financial institution in Malaysia, seeks a dynamic leader to head Wealth Advisory Branch Distribution. You will recruit, mentor and coordinate Personal Bankers across branches to grow wealth management revenue and client relationships.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong people skills, and the ability to drive cross-selling across channels while aligning with regulatory requirements. Strong business acumen and results-orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
• FMUTM, PCE-L, PCE-G, CEILI, TBE & IPPC/CFP license will have an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience preferably in selling fee-based products (Unit trust & Bancassurance) with a good track record.
• Excellent commercial acumen, interpersonal & managerial skills.
• Leadership skills - able to lead a large diverse team and foster strong teamwork.
• Able to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated and result-driven.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coach team members with compliance to bank regulations and policies.
• Execute effective business plans to deliver targets as a team.
• Highlight user-friendly and cost-effective sales and services to customers.
• Promote wealth products and services to expand customers via new and existing channels, including cross-selling.
• Recruit and hire Personal Bankers to grow wealth management in top branches.
• Plan and recommend growth opportunities to Head of Wealth Advisory Branch Distribution.
• Create an achievable working environment and foster strategic alliances for client acquisition and service excellence.
• Collaborate with Internal and external stakeholders to grow wealth sales and service quality.
• Coordinate with Investment, Bancassurance & SMF specialists to enhance wealth competencies.
