Job summary

BigHire in Malaysia is seeking a Warehouse Operations Assistant to join the warehouse teams at North Port and West Port, Port Klang. This permanent, full-time role offers a monthly salary of RM 2,000–2,800.

The job involves cargo loading/unloading, counts and inspections, storage, picking/packing and dispatch. Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required; Malay candidates aged 25–40 with a relevant diploma/ SP degree are preferred.

About the Hiring Company

The hiring company is a integrated transport and logistics business organization, providing international freight forwarding and logistics services across Asia, Australia and Europe/America continents. Currently they have several job openings in the operations works at their warehouse facilities at the North Port and West Port in Port Klang area. They are looking for experienced warehouse workers to undertake the warehouse operations functions at their Container Terminal at North Port (NDSB) and West Port in Port Klang. The vacancies are permanent positions and form part of the warehouse operations team to manage the cargo/shipments that have have been imported or to be exported.

About the Job

This role/job will be warehouse based and therefore not in a conventional office environment. This is a full-time permanent position and the role is primarily to help facilitate the smooth running of the warehouse operations activities. The general duties will involve the following role:

• Perform cargo loading and unloading.
• To perform physical counts, tally and surface inspection of cargo upon receiving/delivery.
• To store cargoes in proper location assigned within the warehouse.
• To perform cargo issuance.
• Picking, packing and dispatch of cargo according to ownership and destinations.

Requirements

• Malaysians in age group 25-40.
• Punctual with positive work ethic.
• Physically fit with ability to lift and carry.
• Minimum qualification: SPM or Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Business.
• Forklift license will be ideal, useful and beneficial.
• The ideal candidate for this role should be someone well organized with 2-3 years experience in warehouse operations, picking and packing ,customer services or similar environment preferred, and have the ability to communicate effectively with the team and customers.
• 2-3 years of previous warehouse operations, especially in 3PL facility has a huge advantage and will be highly regarded.
• Hands on and hardworking with knowledge of both warehouse and logistics practices.
• Proficient with ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Candidates who wish to be considered for this role must be willing to be based within warehouse environment and have own means of transport to be accessible to North Port/West Port area.
