Job summary

YCH DistriPark Sdn. Bhd. in Penang invites applications for a Warehouse Officer to oversee day-to-day operations in our warehouse, ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

You will coordinate inbound receiving, inventory control, and outbound fulfillment, enforce 5S and PPE safety standards, and support floor operations while liaising with logistics partners to optimize delivery and warehouse performance. Experience with WMS/ERP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Oversee warehouse operations including receipt, storage and dispatch.
• Ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
• Enforce FIFO/LIFO and safety compliance including PPE and 5S.
• Coordinate with logistics partners for loading and delivery.
• Maintain data integrity in WMS/ERP and stock records.

Responsibilities

• Inbound & Receiving Operations: Supervise and coordinate the receiving of shipments and verify contents against POs.
• Inventory Control & Management: Conduct cycle counts and stock checks; ensure stock rotation rules are followed.
• Outbound & Fulfillment Operations: Oversee picking, packing, labeling, and staging for dispatch.
• Team Support & Safety Compliance: Supervise warehouse staff, enforce PPE usage and 5S standards.
• Safety & housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and secure working environment.

Job description

The Warehouse Officer is responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures the accurate, safe, and efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods. The Warehouse Officer acts as a bridge between floor operations and management, optimizing storage layouts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound & Receiving Operations:

Supervise and coordinate the receiving of incoming shipments, verifying physical contents against Purchase Orders (POs) and delivery orders.

Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and log any irregularities immediately.

Inventory Control & Management:

Maintain high inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts, physical stock checks, and year-end stock reconciliations.

Ensure proper stock rotation rules (such as FIFO/LIFO) are strictly adhered to, minimizing damage or obsolescence.

Update inventory movements, put-aways, and pick transactions accurately within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.

Outbound & Fulfillment Operations:

Oversee picking, packing, labeling, and staging of goods for dispatch to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Coordinate with logistics coordinators, transport providers, and freight forwarders regarding loading schedules and delivery routes.

Team Support & Safety Compliance:

Supervise or assist warehouse assistants/handlers, delegating daily shift tasks and tracking performance.

Enforce safety protocols, proper material handling practices, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a secure working environment.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, 5S standards, and orderly housekeeping.
