Job summary

Givaudan in Melaka is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to operate material handling equipment and manage shipping, receiving, unloading, sorting and packing. The role is based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka and reports to the Assistant Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, staging, stock checks and cycle counts, plus maintaining safety, cleanliness and compliance with company guidelines. 1–2 years warehouse experience and ability to work shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or General Education Diploma equivalency.
• 1–2 years experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
• Skilled with operating MHE (Forklift, Reach truck, Hand pallet truck).
• Basic math and BM / ENG writing ability.
• Good knowledge of computer (MS Office – Words, Excel, PowerPoint & etc).
• Added advantage of knowing SAP.
• Worked at factory warehouse is preferable, with strong physique to carry/move heavy objects.
• Ability to follow warehouse operating & equipment utilization procedures.
• Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment.
• Able to work on a shift-basis & OT.

Warehouse Material Handler - Your future position?

As the Warehouse Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating material handling equipment while performing tasks to include shipping, receiving, unloading, sorting, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, packing, relocating, segregating, product stacking, wrapping & palletisation. You will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka and will be reporting to Assistant Logistics Manager.

• Prepare product(s) for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded as per customer orders, ensure no wrong delivery, update delivery record.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code and bin into the correct rack bin numbers.
• Carry out housekeeping by relocation, combination of the similar type of materials & master pallet data cleansing throughout rack by rack.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials in dedicated areas using non- electrical/powered equipment.
• Prepare, pick, sort, pack & wrap the unused materials for return to warehouse storage (based on KPIs).
• Assist with physical inventories stock check and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation & allocation.
• Maintain the entire warehouse storage place and operational equipment by keeping it clean and safe, promptly reporting service requests if any faulty encountered.
• Conduct operations in compliance with company guidelines and public regulations in a manner which promotes food safety, food quality, people safety & workplace safety.
• Assist EHS to manage waste storage housekeeping & disposal.
• Perform data temperature recording, cleaning record, delivery record, operation equipment record & etc.
• Execute other tasks as required and assigned by supervisor.
