The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures smooth daily warehouse activities, maintains stock accuracy, enforces safety standards, and leads the warehouse team to achieve operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Warehouse Operations Management

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods.

Ensure smooth warehouse workflow and timely delivery of products.

Monitor warehouse space utilisation and optimise storage arrangements.

2. Inventory Management

Ensure accurate inventory records and effective stock control.

Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.

Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Monitor slow-moving, obsolete and excess stock.

Supervise, train and manage warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.

Assign daily tasks and monitor staff performance and productivity.

Maintain staff discipline and conduct performance evaluations.

Ensure adequate manpower allocation to meet operational requirements.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, company policies and relevant legal requirements.

Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse.

Ensure safe handling, storage and movement of goods.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and review warehouse reports, including stock movements, inventory discrepancies and operational performance.

Ensure proper maintenance and filing of warehouse records and documentation.

Monitor warehouse performance and report operational issues to Management.

6. Coordination & Planning

Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Sales and Logistics departments on stock requirements and delivery arrangements.

Plan manpower, storage capacity and workflow to meet operational demands.

Handle urgent delivery arrangements and resolve warehouse-related issues.

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and operational processes.

Recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Monitor warehouse operating costs and ensure efficient utilisation of resources.

8. Logistics & Delivery Management

Oversee daily logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Plan and coordinate delivery schedules, transportation arrangements and vehicle utilisation.

Monitor delivery performance and ensure goods are delivered accurately and on time.

Coordinate with transporters, drivers and logistics service providers.

Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Resolve delivery issues, delays and transportation-related complaints.
