Job summary

Evergrown Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a hands-on Logistics & Delivery Planner to optimize daily delivery and driver scheduling, assign routes, and ensure timely DO/POD processing.

You will manage fleet records, oversee warehouse activities, monitor fuel usage, and coordinate third-party transport for peak periods, while driving safety-compliant operations and KPI achievement.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery and collection schedules based on lists and cut-off times
• Assign drivers and vehicles by route and capacity; optimize routes to reduce trips and fuel
• Prepare and verify DOs, packing lists and labels; ensure signed DO/POD returned the same day
• Manage driver duty roster, overtime, rest days and standby for urgent deliveries
• Arrange third-party transport for peak loads or long-haul shipments including customs documents
• Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials; maintain 5S and safe forklift practices
• Monitor inventory movements and weekly cycle counts; support stock take and variance investigations
• Enforce safety, PPE, forklift licensing and SDS-compliant chemical storage

Job description

1. Delivery Planning & Driver Scheduling

Plan daily delivery and collection schedule based on Sales/PC delivery list and customer cut-off times

Assign drivers and vehicles by route, load size and vehicle capacity; optimise routes to reduce trips and fuel

Arrange collection of customer parts for ED coating and return delivery after coating

Prepare and verify Delivery Orders (DO), packing lists and labels before dispatch

Ensure signed DO/POD returned same day and passed to Accounts for billing

Manage driver duty roster, overtime, rest days and standby for urgent deliveries

Arrange third-party transporter or forwarder when fleet is fully loaded or for long-haul / Batam shipments (incl. customs documents with forwarder)

2. Fleet Management

Maintain vehicle records: road tax, insurance, Puspakom inspection, APAD operating licence, service schedule

Ensure all drivers hold valid licence class (incl. GDL for goods vehicles) and track renewal dates

Monitor fuel usage per vehicle against trips/km; manage fleet fuel cards and SKDS diesel quota usage

Coordinate vehicle servicing and breakdown repair with workshops

Investigate accidents, traffic summonses and damage claims

3. Warehouse Operations

Oversee receiving and GRN of raw material, chemicals, consumables and customer parts; verify against PO/DO

Ensure correct storage by location, FIFO, and segregation (chemicals per SDS, reject/quarantine area, customer-owned stock)

Control issuance of materials to production against approved requisitions

Manage finished goods storage, packing and dispatch staging

Maintain 5S, housekeeping and safe forklift/stacking practice

4. Inventory Accuracy

Ensure all movements (in, out, transfer, return) are recorded in the inventory system on the same day

Conduct weekly cycle counts and support monthly/year-end stock take

Investigate and report variances; work with PC on stock accuracy

5. Reporting

Weekly: on-time delivery %, trips per vehicle, overtime hours

Monthly: fuel cost per trip/km, transport cost vs sales, vehicle maintenance cost, stock accuracy %, summonses/incidents

6. Safety & Compliance

Enforce PPE, forklift licensing and safe loading/securing of goods

Ensure chemical storage and transport comply with SDS and ESH requirements

Conduct toolbox talks with drivers and warehouse staff

Zero missed vehicle renewal (road tax/insurance/Puspakom/permit)

Fuel cost per trip within budget
