Job summary

Peri-dent Star Sdn Bhd is hiring a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to optimize space utilization, lead manufacturing logistics, and ensure efficient operations. You will design layouts, plan staff schedules, and drive continuous improvement across warehousing processes including picking, transfers, and audits.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of managerial warehousing experience in manufacturing, with familiarity in SAP/ERP systems and Incoterms 2010.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in warehouse management, logistics, business, economics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in warehousing in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Incoterms 2010, customs tariff codes, and SAP/ERP systems is an advantage.

Job description

Ensure Efficient and effective use of warehouse space, Equipment and personnel

Design and optimize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and space utilization

Plan and coordinate staff schedules, ensuring competency of staff level are achieved.

Manage and optimize warehouse processes, including picking, transfer, checking, packing etc.

Responsible on Audits, Develop and implement warehouse operational policies and procedures.

Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency with continuous improvement such as Bar code system and WMS system.

Alert planning or purchasing department in the event of overstocking situation.

Manage inventory management processes, ensuring accurate record- keeping, reporting and resolve all

Discrepancy count.

To plan and arrange to conduct regular cycle count including ad hoc request by other departments to ensure inventory accuracy and assist on company stock count activity.

To monitor overall SAP system transaction are being done in a timely and accurate manner with routine checking and promote process improvement.

To monitor pallets space utilisation are done effectively and reduce the inventory kept on floor and measurement weight of inventory and M3 of FG are being carried out.

Manage goods transfer within the plant

Resolve operational issues and challenges promptly and effectively to ensure business continuity during unforeseen events or crisis.

To maintain high standards of health, safety, GMP, 5S and security in the warehouse.

Logistics

Oversee and supervise logistic operation

Conduct regular review with Logistic team on inbound, outbound, goods clearance, regulatory reporting and ensure operations is complied with local and international regulations

Budget and Cost management

Optimise manpower, equipment and other resources while maintaining service and safety standards.

Monitor and control costs to meet financial targets.

Identify and implement cost – saving opportunities without compromising service level.

Leadership

Develop and implement contingency plans to address emergencies or unexpected disruptions in warehouse operations.

Lead, coach and develop warehouse and logistics teams to achieve operational targets.

Build a culture of teamwork, accountability, discipline and continuous improvement.

Ensure staff are trained and competent in relevant SOPs, processes, safety requirements and system changes.

Provide timely operational reports and updates to management.

Perform other duties assigned by the Supply Chain Manager or superior.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business, Economics, or related field

Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in warehousing in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of Incoterms 2010 and Customs Tariff Code, Microsoft Word and Excel, Warehouse management system ERP and SAP are added advantages.
