Job summary

Cohu Malaysia is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for a 6-month contract. You will handle end-to-end goods receiving, inspection, labeling, put-away, and accurate picking to meet delivery requirements.

The role requires physical fitness to lift up to 20kg, independent work ability, and adherence to safety and warehouse standards. You will contribute to efficient stock organization, proper packaging for shipments, and continuous improvement of space utilization while following all procedures and

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to carry loads up to 20kg.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to read and understand technical standards and research papers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, inspect quantity and condition, label and put away materials.
• Identify discrepancies, damages or shortages and document properly; escalate as needed.
• Store goods in designated locations for easy retrieval and accuracy.
• Ensure correct labeling, stacking and storage according to warehouse standards.
• Perform accurate picking of materials per orders and FIFO inventory handling.
• Pack outgoing shipments according to packing instructions and schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and assist in space optimization.

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant - 6 Months Contract to join our team.

Impact You Will Make:

Perform end-to-end goods receiving activities, including receiving, unpacking, quantity and condition inspection, labeling, system data entry, and proper put‑away of materials.

Identify, report, and record any discrepancies, damages, or shortages during receiving; ensure accurate documentation, timely escalation, and correct updates in the inventory system.

Arrange and store goods in designated storage locations for easy and accurate retrieval.

Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stacked, and stored according to warehouse standards.

Perform accurate and efficient picking of materials as per job orders or delivery requirements.

Practice FIFO (First-In, First-Out) in daily picking and inventory handling activities.

Carry out correct putaway processes upon receipt of goods.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized warehouse at all times.

Assist in reorganizing stock to improve space utilization and workflow efficiency.

Follow all warehouse safety rules, housekeeping standards, and operating procedures.

Prepare and implement appropriate packaging to protect parts and maintain quality during delivery.

Pack outgoing shipments accurately according to packing instructions, delivery schedules, and customer requirements.

Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Forklift experience is a plus!
