Job summary

Cohu Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Control Technician on a 6-month contract to support inspection of fabricated parts, tooling, and modules in accordance with the QC plan. The ideal candidate should hold a diploma in a technical or engineering field, have at least 1 year QA/QC experience, and be able to read mechanical drawings and GD&T.

Proficiency in MS Office and the use of CNC/CMM or Smart Scope equipment is required, with a proactive, independent work style and a focus on process

• Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience, preferably in incoming/outgoing quality.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and apply GD&T practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on fabricated parts, tooling, and modules in accordance with the QC plan.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using CNC/CMM or Smart Scope equipment.
• Maintain accurate and compliant QC inspection records.
• Prepare Certificates of Conformance and QC inspection reports.
• Ensure adherence to process conformity and company policies.
• Ad hoc assignments as needed.

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician - 6 Months Contract to join our team.

Impact You Will Make:

• Perform quality inspections on fabricated parts, tooling, and modules in accordance
• with the quality control plan.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using CNC/CMM or Smart Scope equipment.
• Maintain accurate and compliant QC inspection records.
• Support quality inspection activities for critical components upon request
• Validate replacement parts prior to acceptance and resubmission.
• Manage issuance and retention of inspection data and records in both digital
• and physical formats.
• Prepare Certificates of Conformance and QC inspection reports.
• Ensure adherence to process conformity and compliance with all company policies
• and regulations.
• Any other ad-hoc assignment according to business needs.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in a technical or engineering-related field.
• Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience, preferably in incoming or outgoing quality processes.
• Able to interpret mechanical drawings and understand Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Proactive, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Committed to improving own work methods and job processes.
• Able to provide accurate, timely, and well-organized reports.
