Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Ward Attendant for a veterinary clinic to assist in animal care, maintain ward cleanliness, and support veterinary staff in a clinical environment.

The role requires handling animals, following veterinary instructions, and working as part of a team at the Nusa Bestari / Taman Kebun Teh location; training will be provided and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent and above.
• Willing and able to work at Nusa Bestari / Taman Kebun Teh.
• Comfortable handling animals in a veterinary clinic environment.
• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work well as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Feed and provide fresh water to hospitalised animals according to their dietary needs or veterinarian instructions.
• Assist with prescribed medication administration under the guidance of veterinary staff.
• Keep animals clean, comfortable and well-groomed, including maintaining clean bedding.
• Assist veterinary staff in safely restraining animals during examinations, treatments and minor procedures.
• Clean and sanitise cages, kennels, treatment areas and other clinic areas.
• Ensure feeding, cleaning and basic medical equipment are clean and in good condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the ward area.
• Safely transport animals between examination rooms, treatment areas, wards and other clinic areas.
• Monitor patient food, consumables and selected medical supplies.
• Inform the Vet Nurse or Coordinator when supplies are running low.
