Job summary

Kinabalu Animal Clinic Sdn Bhd in Sabah is seeking veterinary support staff to care for hospitalized animals, assist in surgeries, and manage reception duties. The role involves wound care, medication administration under a vet's direction, and maintaining clean, organized facilities.

Qualifications

• Comfortable handling dogs and cats.
• Sunday duty required – 2 hours on Sundays.
• Candidate must possess at least SPM or Diploma in animal science/healthcare.
• Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Care for hospitalized animals, including wound management and bandaging support, feeding and exercising.
• Assist with surgery preparations by clipping and shaving fur or hair, swabbing the skin.
• Give medication to animals under the direction of a veterinarian.
• Maintain hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting animal cages, floors, benchtops, consulting rooms, waiting rooms and surgeries.
• Sterilize instruments, dressings and other equipment.
• Maintain stock control of medicines, bandages, cotton wool, syringes and other equipment.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Perform reception duties, including answering the telephone, making appointments, preparing accounts, accepting payments and writing receipts.
• Record and maintain clinical and office records of animals attending the surgery (usually on a computer).
• Three Full-Time position(s) available.

3. Candidate must possess at least SPM / Diploma in animal science/healthcare
