Job summary

Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil is seeking enthusiastic Waiters/Waitresses to join our Food & Beverage team. You will deliver friendly, efficient service, coordinate with kitchen and service teams, and uphold Hyatt hospitality standards.

Prior hospitality experience is preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and public holidays, and reports to Restaurant Manager / Outlet Manager.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality, Food & Beverage or related field (advantage).
• Experience in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
• Deliver friendly, attentive and professional service in Hyatt standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient service to guests.
• Present menus, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, beverages and promotions.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented Waiters / Waitresses to join our Food & Beverage team.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing friendly, efficient and professional service to our guests. You will work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure every guest enjoys Hyatt's renowned hospitality while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness and service excellence.

This position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager / Outlet Manager.

Key Qualifications, Requirements & Responsibilities

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred; fresh graduates with a passion for hospitality are encouraged to apply.
• Deliver friendly, attentive and professional food and beverage service in accordance with Hyatt brand standards.
• Welcome guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders accurately and provide recommendations when required.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, beverage offerings and promotions.
• Prepare and set up dining areas, ensuring tables, service stations and equipment are clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Work closely with the kitchen and other hotel departments to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests and feedback professionally, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Process guest bills accurately and handle cash or payment transactions in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain excellent personal grooming, professionalism and positive working relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
