Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd invites an experienced professional to join our regional portfolio management team. You will evaluate loan applications, conduct credit reviews, and cross-sell a wide range of banking products to existing and prospective corporate clients.

As a trusted advisor, you will monitor facility utilisation, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure compliance with FE A rules, KYC procedures, and the Group Relationship Manager framework.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree or diploma/bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Keen interest in financial planning, investments and a sales-driven environment.
• Preferably 8 years of sales experience.
• Strong business acumen and a highly motivated self-starter.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional portfolios, evaluate loan applications, conduct credit reviews.

Job Description

• Responsible for managing regional portfolios including evaluating their loan applications, conducting credit reviews, marketing and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services
• Monitor overall facility utilisation and profitability of the assigned portfolio
• Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Build client loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship, as 'The Trusted Banker to call'
• Identify clients' needs and capture new financing and / or cross selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimise profitability
• Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
• Exposure in structuring cross border transaction and/or umbrella facility
• Familiar with Malaysia Foreign Exchange Administration Rules (FEA)
• Good understanding of the Group Relationship Manager and Field Relationship Manager framework
• Ensure accuracy on customer due diligence ("CDD") and Know Your Customer ("KYC")

Job Requirements

• Possess a recognised degree or Diploma / Bachelor's degree, in any field, from an accredited university / colleges
• Has a strong interest in financial planning, investment and keen to work in a sales driven environment
• Preferably someone with at least 8 years of sales experience
• Strong business acumen, proactive and a highly motivated self-starter
• Positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent team work/spirit
