Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a results-driven Trade Sales Advisor to drive trade finance growth by identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions. You will structure and propose trade finance products, develop and maintain client relationships, and collaborate with Credit, Legal, Operations and Product teams to ensure successful delivery and compliance.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance and at least five years in trade finance sales are required, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in trade finance sales/advisory roles.
• Knowledge of LC's, Guarantees, Receivables Financing, and Supply Chain Finance.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and building client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and assess trade-related risks.
• Knowledge of UCP, URC, and other trade rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional certifications in trade finance (e.g., CDCS) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engage with corporate clients to identify trade finance needs.
• Structure and propose trade finance products aligned to client objectives.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with Credit, Legal, Operations, and Product teams for delivery.
• Prepare and present trade finance proposals with financial analysis and risk assessments.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.
• Aim to achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
