Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Business Finance Analyst to support the Global Markets business with financial analysis, treasury support, reporting and system expertise. The candidate will work closely with Front Office, Finance, Risk Management and Treasury Operations to support business performance.

You will perform P&L analysis, month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting, while analysing treasury products and contributing to system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Preferably professionally qualified (MIA, ACCA, CPA) in accounting/finance.
• Strong understanding of treasury products and markets.
• Hands-on experience with Murex systems is highly preferred.
• Experience in business finance, product control or treasury finance.
• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support financial performance reporting for Global Markets business.
• Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly P&L analysis.
• Support month end journal preparation for month end closing.
• Analyse treasury products including FX, money market, bonds, derivatives and structured products.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning exercises.
• Participate in UAT for new product testing, system enhancements and automation projects.
• Support regulatory and audit requirements related to Global Markets and Treasury.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and presentation slides.
