Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior leader to run Clearing and Settlements operations within Global Capability Network. You will manage a ~40-strong team, own risk and control, and partner with onshore hubs across the UK and Europe to deliver a consistent operating model.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate leadership of an operations function with substantial team size.
• Strong risk/control mindset with ability to drive remediation actions.
• Experience coordinating with multiple regional stakeholders and hubs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Custody Clearing and Settlements operations in Kuala Lumpur for UK/Europe clients.
• Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and resource use.
• Set and track KPIs and KRIs; provide actionable performance insights.
• Maintain strong risk and control framework; escalate and remediate issues.
• Ensure compliance with UK FCA CASS, Dodd-Frank, EMIR/MiFID and related rules.
• Oversee change delivery and governance; communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop leadership in the management team and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor costs vs plan, including headcount and infrastructure budgets.
