Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Job Expert Sdn Bhd has a client in Kuala Lumpur seeking a Vice President, Compliance & Assurance to lead compliance, assurance, and risk governance across banking operations, including contact centre and shared services.

You will strengthen the framework in line with Group policies and local regulations, provide independent oversight, and advise senior management on risk and compliance matters.

Qualifications

• Degree in Banking, Finance, or Accounting required or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in compliance, assurance, audit, or risk governance within financial services.
• Proven expertise in internal controls and audit/assurance methodologies.
• Experience in group-led or matrix environments with cross-border governance exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee adherence to Group policies, standards, and local regulatory requirements, advising accountable parties on policy interpretation and implementation
• Maintain the regulatory monitoring framework and ensure timely, effective response to regulatory developments, including regulatory reporting where required
• Develop and drive the annual assurance plan, aligned with Group priorities and Group Audit expectations
• Execute assurance activities to assess control effectiveness, identify gaps, and coordinate external reviews and audits
• Track and close action plans arising from external reviews
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing practical, solution-oriented guidance on compliance and assurance matters within risk appetite
• Engage with Group and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on framework execution
• Drive risk culture and awareness, and oversee clear, consistent risk communications
