Qualifications

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; professional qualifications preferred.
• Typically 10 years of relevant experience in compliance, assurance, audit, or risk governance.
• Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, internal controls, and governance practices.
• Proven experience in internal or external audits and compliance oversight in banking/regulated environments.
• Experience in group-led or matrix environments with cross-border governance exposure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to policies, standards, and local regulatory requirements.
• Advise stakeholders on policy interpretation and regulatory expectations.
• Oversee regulatory monitoring and timely responses to changes.
• Ensure compliance responsibilities, reporting, and engagements are managed.
• Provide independent oversight of risk management and control effectiveness.
• Develop and execute the annual assurance plan aligned with group priorities.
• Conduct assurance reviews to identify gaps and drive improvements.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and close actions timely.
• Advise senior management on compliance, risk, and assurance matters.
• Guide risk-aware decision making and cross-stakeholder collaboration.
• Promote risk culture and clear communication of key risk themes.
