Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled professional to develop vision-based solutions for Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will design and optimize image processing workflows to meet defect-detection and cycle-time requirements, and integrate Halcon or Matrox vision libraries into the overall software framework.

You will define inspection strategies, select cameras and illumination, and perform on-site AOI evaluations and qualifications,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.

• Senior level requires minimum 5 years experience in AOI/vision fields.
• Experience with AOI product development or wafer AOI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop vision-based solutions for AOI systems.
• Develop and optimize image processing algorithms to meet defect-detection and cycle-time requirements.
• Integrate and configure vision libraries (Halcon, Matrox, or equivalent) into the software framework.
• Define and implement vision inspection strategies including camera, illumination, lens selection, and FOV calculations.
• Coordinate and run vision evaluation, characterization, and investigations for samples.
• Translate customer requirements into design specs and provide technical expertise.
• Vision software and hardware buy-off qualification and reporting.
• Support production on machine build issues related to vision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve vision algorithm and system issues.
• Prepare technical reports, manuals, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers.
• Perform onsite system setup and testing for AOI machines.

Develop vision-based solutions for Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems

Develop and optimize image processing algorithms to meet customer defect-detection and cycle-time requirements

Define and implement vision inspection strategies, including camera selection, illumination design, lens selection, field-of-view calculations, and part positioning

Coordinate and run vision evaluation, characterization, and investigation for customer samples and requests

Translate customers' requirements into design specifications, evaluate design feasibility, and provide technical expertise to exceed customer expectations

Vision software and hardware buy-off qualification and reporting

Provide support to the production team for machine build issues related to vision

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to vision algorithms and systems

Prepare technical reports, user manuals, technical guidelines, and other documentation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and mechanical engineers

Perform onsite system setup and testing for Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a related field is required for the Senior level

Experience in AOI product development, wafer AOI, WLCSP AOI, or package-level vision inspection systems is an added advantage

IDE experience, particularly with Microsoft Visual Studio

Strong proficiency in at least one C-family language (C#, C++, or C)

Working knowledge of Halcon or Matrox is an added advantage

Strong aptitude for software development and programming
