Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer – UPS Systems for Kuala Lumpur. The role involves engineering operations leadership, directing technicians, vendors, and subcontractors, and delivering preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems.

You will ensure compliance with codes and safety directives, oversee maintenance programs, and coordinate with clients to minimize downtime. Prior banking sector experience and supervisory background are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of job-related experience.
• Experience with UPS Systems and Genset is essential.
• Facilities engineering experience in corporate office environments preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and Company directives for building operations and safety.
• Oversee operations, assign work orders, and train coworkers/subcontractors.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with clients to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building machinery and systems.
• Inspect work performed by engineering staff and ensure equipment is functional.
• Respond to emergencies and summon additional assistance as needed.
• Apply technical knowledge to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach teammates and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values.
