Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer to oversee maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure across a portfolio of buildings. You will manage maintenance contracts, provide technical support, and ensure safety and reliability of HV/LV, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical systems.

The role requires 5+ years in critical environment operations, strong project management, and the ability to coordinate with several stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in critical environment operations and maintenance.
• Experience managing maintenance contracts and monitoring contractor performance.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure systems, including HV and LV distribution, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Manage maintenance contracts and monitor contractor performance to ensure SLA compliance.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams, ensuring safe and efficient engineering work.
• Monitor and optimize performance of critical infrastructure systems for peak efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs and procedures per best practice standards.
• Prepare and maintain records of maintenance work, schedules, WO, and drawings.
• Build relationships with Facilities Managers, Client staff, contractors, and suppliers.
• Participate in emergency call-out roster for weekends and absences.
• Suggest ideas/initiatives to improve service levels and delivery.
• Undertake other tasks as required by the Client.
