Job summary

Accenture PLC in Malaysia is seeking an Underwriting Backend Support to provide administrative and operational assistance to the underwriting team. You will ensure accurate data entry, timely processing of customer applications, and adherence to service standards and procedures.

The role involves processing proposals, quotations, new business policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations for consumer line products, while maintaining SOPs and audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• General insurance knowledge/experience preferred.
• Experience in BPO / Shared Services is an added advantage.
• Good command of English (oral and written).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and validation.

Responsibilities

• Validate and enter customer proposals, applications, and transactions into policy processing systems.
• Ensure all policy applications and transactions are processed within defined turnaround time (TAT).
• Generate and process quotations, new business policies, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and other admin tasks for consumer line products.
• Maintain SOPs and company guidelines throughout processing activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information for policy processing.
• Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy and policy documentation integrity.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
