Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad seeks a qualified Sonographer to perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound exams, from abdomen to vascular and obstetric studies, following approved protocols and physician requests.

You will produce and label images, educate patients, and promptly forward findings to radiologists for reporting, while maintaining infection control and workflow efficiency in a busy unit.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Imaging or equivalent with Advance Diploma in Medical Ultrasonography.
• Registered under Act 304 and Allied Health Professions Act 774.
• Sonographer: Minimum 1 year clinical ultrasound experience.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics and pathology.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to approved protocols.
• Produce, evaluate, and submit labelled sonographic images for radiologist review.
• Educate patients, obtain history, explain procedures and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Identify abnormal findings and expedite to radiologist for urgent attention.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment with daily checks and escalation when needed.
• Ensure infection prevention and control in all ultrasound rooms and related equipment.
• Plan and manage workflow and scheduling within the ultrasound unit.
• Document and charge procedures accurately for routine and on-call cases.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care.
• Support and guide junior sonographers, radiographers, and students.
