The UAS Pilot at ADVANCED DEFENCE SYSTEMS SDN BHD will conduct UAS operations in compliance with CAAM and other authorities, ensuring safe flight conditions and thorough reporting after each mission. The role includes visual and thermal screening, maintaining safe flight paths near industrial assets, and operating multiple UAS platforms for inspection and surveillance.
You will perform pre-flight risk assessments, monitor for hazards, and report abnormalities or faults to the Safety Officer.
The UAS Pilot is responsible for conducting UAS operations in compliance with related local authorities such as CAAM regulations, ensuring safe flight conditions, and reporting minor and major findings during industrial inspection missions. The role involves visual and thermal screening during industrial inspections, maintaining clear flight paths around live plant infrastructure, operating various payloads and various UAS platforms when required.
Key responsibilities
Conduct pre-flight risk assessments and maintain safe, compliant flight paths near industrial assets
Visually scan for hazards (personnel, structures, RF interference sources) throughout each mission and respond to any airborne hazards during flight.
Carry out all UAS flight operations in line with related authorities such as CGSO, JUPEM & CAAM regulatory requirements and company operating standards
Keep the mission area and flight path free of obstructions, personnel, and unauthorised entry, especially near active industrial assets
Operate multirotor and fixed-wing / VTOL UAS for diverse visual, thermal inspection, surveillance and any other required missions.
Report abnormalities, near-misses, or equipment faults immediately to the Safety Officer
Submit flight logs, maintenance records, and inspection data after every mission
Handle assign task from time to time
