Job summary

TiDB, powered by PingCAP, is seeking a Technical Account Manager based in Malaysia (preferably Kuala Lumpur) to serve as the trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers.

You will build relationships with key stakeholders, provide guidance on TiDB products, collaborate across sales, service and solutions architecture, and help optimize performance and cost in customer environments. A background in databases, distributed systems, and enterprise customer management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience in technical account management, customer success, or consulting.
• Strong understanding of database and distributed system-related products and technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage complex technical projects and prioritize competing demands effectively.
• Certifications such as PMP, PCTP, OCP, and AWS SA are a plus.
• Experience with enterprise customers and stakeholder management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted advisor and technical point of contact for assigned customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their architectures and business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance, best practices, and solution recommendations for TiDB products and services.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and solutions architecture teams to drive customer success and growth.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, cost optimization, and performance enhancements in customer environments.
• Deliver training sessions, workshops, and presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TiDB products, roadmaps, and industry trends.
