Job summary

TIMESFLY INTERNATIONAL (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD is seeking a proactive on-site interpreter for a construction/project environment. The role requires fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu, with diploma or higher and fresh graduates welcomed.

You will support on-site communication between foreign engineers and local staff, translate documents, assist the project manager, coordinate between contractors and departments, and help with administrative tasks and events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher education level; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in written and spoken Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong sense of responsibility and proactive attitude for a construction site environment.
• Basic knowledge of construction, engineering, M&E or project management is preferred.
• Ability to understand construction drawings, terminology and site documentation is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in construction, engineering or data center industry is preferred.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trilingual interpreter on-site to facilitate daily communication between foreign engineers and local staff (Mandarin-English-Bahasa Melayu).
• Translate project-related documents including construction plans, safety notices, meeting minutes, and technical reports.
• Assist the project manager in monitoring progress, organizing meetings, preparing reports, and managing documentation.
• Coordinate communication between contractors, suppliers, and relevant departments for smooth project execution.
• Support general administrative and logistical tasks including accommodation, transportation, and document organization.
• Assist with company events, meetings, training sessions and other administrative activities.
• Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
