Job summary

J-Recruit is seeking a translator to provide accurate Chinese-English-Malay translation and interpretation for a 6-month project in Malaysia. The role requires on-site presence and close collaboration with Chinese and Malaysian teams.

You will translate manuals, reports, specifications, and emails, and deliver consecutive interpretation during meetings and training sessions. Confidentiality and quick learning of project terminology are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin), English and Bahasa Malaysia — verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate translations.
• Good understanding of technical terminology, with the ability to quickly learn project-specific vocabulary.
• Ability to work effectively with both Chinese and Malaysian teams.
• Willingness to work on-site and commit to the full 6-month project period.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Chinese English Bahasa Malaysia translation and interpretation.
• Translate technical documents including manuals, reports, specifications, procedures and emails.
• Deliver on-site interpretation during meetings, project discussions, training sessions and daily operations.
• Facilitate communication between Chinese-speaking management/project teams and local Malaysian teams.
• Attend project meetings and provide consecutive interpretation as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of project information and documents.
