Job description

Regional transition strategy and roadmap

• Develop and maintain the Finance SSC transition roadmap for 2027–2030.
• Define transition waves by country, process, SSC location, and implementation timing.
• Assess country readiness, process maturity, systems, data, controls, resources, and local requirements.
• Identify prerequisites, dependencies, risks, and critical decisions before each transition.
• Align the roadmap with Schaeffler Group frameworks and the overall Finance transformation agenda.
• Track progress against milestones, scope, resources, risks, and expected benefits.

Target operating model

• Define and maintain the target operating model for Finance Shared Services across Kuala Lumpur and Pune.
• Recommend the appropriate allocation of activities between the two SSCs based on process standardization, capabilities, capacity, language, time zone, country requirements, risk, and cost considerations.
• Identify opportunities to avoid duplication and establish clear ownership between the two locations.
• Coordinate the development of common process standards, service definitions, governance, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate transition workstreams across country Finance teams, Kuala Lumpur, Pune, IT, and other functions.
• Ensure that country-specific exceptions are controlled and do not create unnecessary process fragmentation.

Process standardization and continuous improvement

• Work closely with FPD, Finance SSC Managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure that transition, process‑improvement, digitalization, and automation initiatives are properly assessed, governed, implemented, documented, and handed over to the respective process owners.
• Ensure that approved changes are sustainable and deliver the intended efficiency, control, quality, and service benefits.
• Coordinate standardization of Finance processes across countries and both SSC locations.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for simplification, automation, digitalization, and productivity improvement.
• Support the definition of common procedures, controls, KPIs, service levels, and performance‑management routines.

Stakeholder and governance management

• Establish effective governance between the Kuala Lumpur SSC, Pune SSC, country CFOs, local Finance teams, Finance Process Managers, IT, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare regular status reports for the AP Finance SSC Manager and relevant steering committees.
• Escalate unresolved issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
• Build reliable long‑term relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the region.
• Ensure that internal‑control, ICS, compliance, and audit requirements are addressed throughout the transition.
• Support the definition and implementation of common KPIs and service levels for both SSCs.
• Support customer‑satisfaction measurement for country Finance organizations.
