Job summary

HSBC seeks a seasoned Business Analyst to work on Global Chief Operating Office transformation initiatives. You will partner with business units to translate needs into actionable requirements, manage governance, and drive delivery across multiple streams in a banking context.

The role emphasizes independent stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision making, and leading mid-size teams through end-to-end project lifecycles with a focus on benefits realization.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working in change environments across strategy, design (consulting), initiation and delivery.
• Industry experience in implementing organisational change and business transformation projects for banking.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build, maintain and navigate the organization using formal/informal networking skills.
• Experience in managing mid-sized teams of different work streams.
• Familiarity with consulting frameworks, Agile/Waterfall methodologies and benefits realization.

Responsibilities

• Propose innovative ideas, test and refine with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes/governance and accelerate the delivery of projects.
• Bring innovative ideas to business solutions by keeping updated on industry trends.
• Aligns deliverables with the strategies and priorities for their business area.
• Think commercially to identify opportunities to develop business from new/existing internal customers.
• Demonstrate the ability to evaluate risk, impact and potential revenue to inform decisions.
• Articulate and support design business models, operating models and business cases.
• Proactively monitor risks and issues and escalate when necessary for effective solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to document scope, quality, cost and effort with tailored communications.
• Support project governance and ensure efficient resource and cost management.
• Translate complex information into clear, structured outputs for different audiences.
• Plan deployment activities and ensure business readiness and sign-offs.
• Perform gap analyses and devise action plans to close gaps.
