Job summary

HSBC is seeking a seasoned professional to join Global COO Transformation Services. You will lead change initiatives, design operating models, and manage complex stakeholder networks across banking operations and transformation programs.

The role emphasizes governance, data-driven problem solving, and delivery at pace within a banking environment, leveraging your experience in agile and waterfall methodologies to realize tangible benefits for HSBC and its customers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in change environments across strategy, design (consulting), initiation and delivery.
• Industry experience in implementing organisational change and business transformation projects for banking industry.
• Demonstrable experience of independent stakeholder management, especially impactful communication, influencing and running project governance.
• In depth experience of working in a banking environment for operations, system transformation, Organization Design (incl. potentially M&A) projects.
• Excellent problem solving & analysis skills including extensive PowerPoint and Excel know-how.
• Experienced in supporting & executing end to end project lifecycle from initiation till closure at pace and with clear examples that project outcomes were achieved.
• Proficiency in knowledge of consulting and Change Frameworks, Agile methodologies, Waterfall methodologies and best practices.
• Strong understanding of banking / HSBC and how change drives benefits for HSBC, its customers and other stakeholders.
• Extensive business analysis expertise, supported by project management knowledge and experience in delivering large, complex projects.
• Experience in managing mid-sized teams of different work streams.
• All-rounder expert in Implementation, change management and benefits realization.
• Cantonese/Mandarin language skills is highly beneficial.
• Plus point if certified in CAPM, ECBA, CBAP, CCBA, CSM, or any relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Innovation and Idea Management: Propose innovative ideas, test and refine with colleagues and stakeholders; identify opportunities to streamline processes/governance and accelerate delivery.
• Commerciality: Aligns deliverables with strategies and priorities; think commercially to develop business from internal customers; assess impact of group priorities and dependencies.
• Project Governance & Planning: Support design of operating models and business cases; monitor risks/issues; coordinate documentation of scope, cost and effort; maintain governance and manage resources and costs.
• Design (consulting) and Business Analysis: Design problem solving approaches; analyze current state and future state; elicit requirements; ensure traceability and sign-offs; support deployment and testing.
