Job summary

Maxis in Malaysia is seeking a Protégé Trainee to gain hands-on experience in internal employee engagement and external employer branding, helping attract top talent and build a connected, valued workforce.

You'll design engagement initiatives for regional, virtual, and in-person settings, assist events and onboarding, and contribute to content creation and branding campaigns, all within a culture that values inclusion and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoy engaging with colleagues and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
• Experience with design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Filmora) is a significant advantage.
• A detail‑oriented, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Employee Experience: Assist in designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives for various work arrangements, including regional, virtual, and in‑person settings.
• Support the planning and execution of large‑scale engagement events, talks, festive celebrations, and interest‑based activities to strengthen belonging across the organization.
• Contribute to enhancing the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring they feel welcomed and integrated from their first day.
• Assist in deploying employee surveys and other feedback mechanisms to help assess the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
• Support the tracking of engagement metrics by assisting with employee experience dashboards and providing insights to inform future strategies.
• Employer Branding: Support marketing and communication campaigns that promote Maxis as a leading employer of choice.
• Develop engaging content for branding initiatives, which includes conducting research, brainstorming ideas, writing copy, and creating visual assets.
• Create and edit video content to support employer branding campaigns, such as those showcasing our Internship and Graduate Programmes.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of employer branding events, assisting with preparation, promotion, and on‑ground coordination.
