Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Medini, Johor Malaysia for Senior Embryologists and Embryologists within SHG’s fertility centers. The role involves performing and overseeing embryology and andrology laboratory procedures, including oocyte retrieval handling, insemination, embryo culture, assessment, cryopreservation, and thawing. Team members will prepare and manage IVF and assisted reproduction cycles, ensure strict adherence to laboratory protocols, quality control, and safety standards, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records. They will collaborate closely with fertility specialists, nurses, and other clinical staff to plan treatment cycles, discuss results, and support personalized patient care. Senior Embryologists will additionally provide leadership in the laboratory, mentor junior staff, contribute to protocol optimization, and support continuous improvement and accreditation activities.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including handling biological specimens, operating laboratory equipment, and following rigorous quality and safety protocols.
Candidates should possess expertise in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Assisted Reproduction techniques, including embryo culture, transfer preparation, and cryopreservation procedures.
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine and Reproductive Medicine, with understanding of fertility pathophysiology and related clinical workflows.
Candidates should possess Andrology-related skills, including semen analysis, sperm preparation, and related laboratory procedures.
Relevant degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field; postgraduate qualifications in embryology or reproductive medicine are an advantage.
Prior experience in an IVF or fertility laboratory; senior-level experience and leadership in embryology are preferred for Senior Embryologist positions.
Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a highly regulated environment, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary clinical teams and support patient-centered care
