Job summary

EXEO Global Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a Customs Declaration Officer to support the customs operations. You will gather information, prepare and submit K1, K2, K8, PKFZ declarations, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

You will monitor declarations, liaise with shippers, customers, forwarding agents, and customs, resolve discrepancies, and maintain documentation for audits. SPM and 1–3 years of experience required; familiarity with Dagang Net and Malaysia customs procedures.

Qualifications

• SPM completion is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in customs declaration, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Experience in preparing and submitting Malaysia customs declarations (K1, K2, K8, PKFZ, and other types).
• Familiar with Dagang Net and Malaysia Customs procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Accountabilities

• Gather and verify the required information and supporting documents from internal and external parties for Malaysia customs declaration processing.
• Prepare, process, and submit import and export customs declarations, including K1, K2, K8, PKFZ, and other relevant declaration types in compliance with Malaysia Customs regulations and company procedures.
• Ensure all customs declarations are accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timelines.
• Monitor declaration status and liaise with shippers, customers, forwarding agents, and the customs system to resolve declaration-related issues promptly.
• Investigate and resolve declaration discrepancies or exceptions by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of customs declarations for audit and compliance purposes.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports as assigned by the Team Lead.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia Customs regulations, company SOPs, and customer requirements.
• Support the team in achieving operational KPIs, service quality, and compliance standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Management from time to time.

• Successfully passed the SPM examination.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in customs declaration, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Hands on experience in preparing and submitting Malaysia Customs declarations (K1, K2, K8, PKFZ, and other declaration types).
• Familiar with Dagang Net, and Malaysia Customs procedures.
• Good understanding of import/export documentation, tariff codes, customs regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with customers, forwarding agents, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
