Job summary

OCBC is seeking a Trade Finance Process Analyst in Malaysia to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and support customers. You will analyze complex processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement improvements while ensuring accurate AML input in Chinese characters.

The role focuses on delivering compliant, efficient trade finance operations, with opportunities for ongoing learning and development within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform transaction processing duties per procedures to meet productivity and service standards.
• Drive operational performance by meeting SLAs, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with trade finance rules and policies.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers on trade finance matters.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions through data analysis and experience.
• Assist team management in coaching and developing other team members.
• Support rollout of quality management systems and other bank initiatives.
• Ensure due care on AML, sanctions, and transaction screening during daily operations.

How You Succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a process improvement expert who can analyse complex workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, design and implement process changes, and monitor their impact. Your ability to communicate complex ideas simply and influence others will be crucial to your success. Must be able to read and accurately input Chinese characters for AML name screening purposes.

What You Do

• Perform transaction processing duties as instructed by the team management in accordance to the relevant procedures, guidelines, instructions and standards set to meet the productivity and service standards set.


• Work with team to deliver superior customer service by driving operational performance ie. meeting SLAs - timeliness and accuracy, reducing costs, driving operational efficiency, and reducing operational risks


• Ensure awareness and full compliance of trade finance’s rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, and practices.


• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers of trade finance related matters.


• Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.


• Assist the team management in the development of team members by guiding, coaching, and supporting other team members.


• Support the roll-out of appropriate quality management systems in the and other initiatives by the Bank.


• Ensure due care and diligence is exercised on day-to-day operational matters relating to Trade Based Money Laundering, sanction compliance, transaction screening, by acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus, providing support to superiors and subordinate.

Who You Are

• Fluency in Mandarin ( Reading, Writing & Speaking).


• Must be able to read and accurately input Chinese characters for AML name screening purposes.


• A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field


• Proven track record of process improvement and implementation


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders


• Experience with process mapping tools and techniques, such as Lean or Six Sigma
