OCBC Penang Hub is seeking a Trade Finance Process Analyst to streamline workflows, analyze complex processes, and implement improvements that boost efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with stakeholders to tailor solutions, monitor outcomes, and drive measurable gains across trade finance operations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of process improvement and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with process mapping tools; Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform transaction processing duties as instructed by the team management to meet productivity and service standards.
• Drive operational performance by meeting SLAs, reducing costs, and mitigating risks.
• Ensure awareness and compliance of trade finance policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers on trade finance matters.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions through data analysis and experience.
• Mentor and coach team members to support their development.
• Support quality management system rollouts and other initiatives by the Bank.
• Ensure due care on day-to-day trade compliance and screening responsibilities.

How You Succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a process improvement expert who can analyse complex workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, design and implement process changes, and monitor their impact. Your ability to communicate complex ideas simply and influence others will be crucial to your success.

What You Do

• Perform transaction processing duties as instructed by the team management in accordance to the relevant procedures, guidelines, instructions and standards set to meet the productivity and service standards set.
• Work with team to deliver superior customer service by driving operational performance ie. meeting SLAs - timeliness and accuracy, reducing costs, driving operational efficiency, and reducing operational risks
• Ensure awareness and full compliance of trade finance’s rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, and practices.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers of trade finance related matters.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.
• Assist the team management in the development of team members by guiding, coaching, and supporting other team members.
• Support the roll‑out of appropriate quality management systems in the and other initiatives by the Bank.
• Ensure due care and diligence is exercised on day-to-day operational matters relating to Trade Based Money Laundering, sanction compliance, transaction screening, by acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus, providing support to superiors and subordinate.

Who You Are

• A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
• Proven track record of process improvement and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience with process mapping tools and techniques, such as Lean or Six Sigma
