Job summary

OCBC invites applications for a Trade Finance Process Analyst role. You will streamline workflows, analyse complex processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements that drive efficiency and customer value.

You will evaluate data, propose solutions, and support the team with coaching and guidance while ensuring compliance with money laundering and sanction rules. A relevant degree and Lean/Six Sigma familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, operations management or related field.
• Proven track record in process improvement and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform transaction processing duties in line with procedures and standards.
• Drive operational performance by meeting SLAs, reducing costs and risks.
• Ensure compliance with trade finance rules and guidelines.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers on trade finance matters.
• Analyze data to evaluate and recommend solutions to problems.
• Coach and support team members to develop skills and performance.
• Support quality management system roll-out and initiatives.
• Maintain due care on anti-money laundering and sanction compliance matters.

Trade Finance Process Analyst

You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, design and implement process changes, and monitor their impact. What you do

• Perform transaction processing duties as instructed by the team management in accordance to the relevant procedures, guidelines, instructions and standards set to meet the productivity and service standards set.
• Work with team to deliver superior customer service by driving operational performance ie. meeting SLAs - timeliness and accuracy, reducing costs, driving operational efficiency, and reducing operational risks
• Ensure awareness and full compliance of trade finance’s rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, and practices.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers of trade finance related matters.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.
• Assist the team management in the development of team members by guiding, coaching, and supporting other team members.
• Support the roll-out of appropriate quality management systems in the and other initiatives by the Bank.
• Ensure due care and diligence is exercised on day-to-day operational matters relating to Trade Based Money Laundering, sanction compliance, transaction screening, by acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus, providing support to superiors and subordinate.

Who you are

• A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
• Proven track record of process improvement and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience with process mapping tools and techniques, such as Lean or Six Sigma
