Job summary

OCBC Penang Hub is seeking a Trade Finance Process Analyst to streamline transaction processing and enhance service quality. The role involves supporting relationship managers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving efficiency across the trade finance workflow.

Applicants should hold a degree in business/operations fields and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in process mapping and improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of process improvement and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform transaction processing duties as instructed to meet productivity and service standards.
• Work with the team to deliver superior customer service by driving operational performance and SLAs.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with trade finance rules, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers on trade finance matters.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions through data analysis and experience.
• Support development of team members through coaching and guidance.
• Assist in rollout of quality management systems and bank initiatives.
• Ensure due care on day-to-day operations relating to AML, sanctions, and transaction screening.

What you do

• Perform transaction processing duties as instructed by the team management in accordance to the relevant procedures, guidelines, instructions and standards set to meet the productivity and service standards set.
• Work with team to deliver superior customer service by driving operational performance ie. meeting SLAs - timeliness and accuracy, reducing costs, driving operational efficiency, and reducing operational risks.
• Ensure awareness and full compliance of trade finance’s rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures and practices.
• Provide technical support to Relationship Managers of trade finance related matters.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.
• Assist the team management in the development of team members by guiding, coaching, and supporting other team members.
• Support the roll-out of appropriate quality management systems in the and other initiatives by the Bank.
• Ensure due care and diligence is exercised on day-to-day operational matters relating to Trade Based Money Laundering, sanction compliance, transaction screening, by acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus, providing support to superiors and subordinate.
