Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Section Head to lead a team of 20 staff across import and export bills booking, financing and settlement. The role emphasizes strong service delivery, controls, and continuous improvement within a dynamic banking environment.

You will partner with multiple stakeholders to drive process simplification, automation and policy adherence while managing operational risk and sanctions controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in trade finance operations, especially bills booking, financing and settlement.
• Proven ability to lead teams or supervise team leads.
• Familiarity with cross-border payment settlements and SWIFT standards.
• Understanding AML, sanctions and transaction-control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop team leads and staff to drive service quality and risk controls.
• Oversee import/export bills booking, financing and settlement processes.
• Maintain strong controls, compliance and transaction risk management.
• Collaborate with business units to resolve issues and support growth.
