Job summary

Intuitive in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Manager, Trade Compliance to lead import/export activities for the Penang Plant and ensure compliant, timely material movement. This role serves as the site owner for trade compliance, handling declarations, licensed warehouse requirements, permits, classification, origin, valuation support, recordkeeping, broker performance, audits, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on trade operations experience, practical customs

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of trade operations and import/export processes.
Practical knowledge of Malaysian customs and licensing requirements.
Experience coordinating with customs brokers and logistcs partners.
Ability to interpret HS classification, origin, valuation and Incoterms.
Experience developing SOPs, controls and training materials.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day import and export operations for the Penang plant maintaining on-time, compliant movement.
Manage licensed warehouse conditions, documentation, reporting, and record retention.
Ensure site compliance with customs, permits, declarations, and post-clearance obligations.
Oversee declarations, HS classification, origin, valuation, and shipment records.
Partner with brokers, forwarders, and internal teams to ensure compliant clearance and delivery.
