The CNC Programmer role requires 5+ years of CNC programming experience, Mastercam proficiency, and a strong GD&T background. Based in Penang, you will develop and optimise milling programs, verify toolpaths, and collaborate with machinists to enhance cycle times and part quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in precision engineering.
• Proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software.
• Strong GD&T understanding and ability to read drawings.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining practices.
• Experience programming Fanuc or Mitsubishi CNC controls is an advantage.
• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field an advantage.

Write, edit and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (Mastercam) for milling operations

Generate and verify toolpaths for 3-axis and 3+1 axis machining applications

Review engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to determine appropriate machining strategies, tooling selection and cutting parameters

Conduct program prove-outs and first article runs, making adjustments to achieve dimensional compliance

Work closely with machinists to resolve machining issues and improve cycle times

Maintain organised program libraries and revision records

Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve surface finish and shorten cycle times

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in precision engineering, tooling, or fixture manufacturing

Proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software

Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining best practices

Experience programming for Fanuc or Mitsubishi CNC controls is an advantage
