AMEC Academy Sdn Bhd in Johor is seeking a Tool Crib Assistant to organize tools and equipment for students’ practical sessions. You will manage bookings, maintain calibration records, and ensure safe, clean workshop practices in a CAAM/EASA-aligned environment.
The role supports instructors and aims to develop future aircraft maintenance engineers and technicians through structured training programs.
Certificate or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering / Technical field
Familiar with workshop tools, calibration, and inventory systems
Good organizational and record-keeping skills
Able to handle tools safely and support practical sessions
Basic knowledge of safety protocols and workshop practices
Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is an added advantage
Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and documentation needed for students’ practical sessions as per the instructor’s request.
Manage the tool crib inventory including booking-in and booking-out of tools and equipment before and after practical lessons.
Ensure that tools, components, and training aids are properly stored, maintained, and returned in serviceable condition.
Verify that all calibrated tools issued have a legible calibration sticker and are within their serviceable validity dates.
Maintain records of tool usage, tool status, and calibration certificates.
Assist instructors in ensuring students practice proper tool handling, storage, and housekeeping.
Report any missing or damaged tools by raising a Requisition Form (RF) and follow up on replacement or repair.
Monitor and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop/hangar environment at all times.
Support asset tagging and stock control for tools and equipment under the Training Department.
Observe and enforce safety protocols during practical sessions.
Perform other tool crib or workshop-related duties as directed by the Training Manager or instructor.
