Job summary

Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd – Kulai, Johor is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Maintenance Leader to develop preventive plans for equipment and vehicles, lead teams, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will prepare detailed scopes of work and manage spare parts, training, and emergency response.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in mechanical fields, with strong CAAM knowledge and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; diploma accepted.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical roles.
• Strong knowledge of CAAM regulations.

• Ability to manage airport operations, safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for equipment and vehicles.
• Lead and manage maintenance teams for mechanical installations and equipment.
• Prepare scope of works and bills of quantities for maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure accurate documentation.
• Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and mechanical materials.
• Ensure vehicles and ground equipment comply with regulatory standards (Puspakom, etc.).
• Maintain AFRS assets and safety equipment, coordinating with ARFS/AVSEC.
• Deliver training on mechanical systems for maintenance staff.
• Respond to airport and aircraft emergencies when required.
• Fulfilling additional maintenance tasks and duties as assigned.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for equipment and vehicles.

Conduct regular inspections and schedule maintenance activities.

Maintenance Activities:

Lead and manage maintenance teams for mechanical installations and equipment.

Provide technical guidance to ensure efficient task execution.

Scope of Works and Documentation:

Prepare detailed scope of works and bills of quantities (BQ) for maintenance projects.

Collaborate with procurement to ensure accurate documentation.

Spare Parts and Inventory Management:

Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and mechanical materials.

Maintain availability of required items for in-house maintenance tasks.

Vehicle Maintenance Compliance:

Ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards for inspections (e.g., Puspakom).

Coordinate maintenance to comply with trading license requirements.

Safety and Fire Rescue Management:

Maintain fire vehicles to meet Airport Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) standards.

Manage safety equipment and operational assets for ARFS and AVSEC.

Fuel and Ground Equipment Management:

Monitor and manage fuel levels for generators and vehicles.

Ensure the availability and functionality of ground handling equipment.

Training and Staff Development:

Prepare and deliver training on mechanical systems for maintenance staff.

Coordinate communication and collaboration among stakeholders.

Emergency Response:

Attend and respond to airport and aircraft emergencies when required.

Ad-Hoc and Supportive Duties:

Assist with other maintenance tasks and fulfill additional responsibilities assigned by superiors.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field or with diploma holder.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ of experience in mechanical or a related role.
