Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive ticketing professional to manage flight enquiries, reservations, ticket issuance, and GDS operations. You will ensure booking accuracy and handle changes, cancellations, and disruptions, liaising with airlines and suppliers.

Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided. Fluency in Mandarin and English, plus basic Bahasa Malaysia, is expected. Exposure to Sabre/Amadeus is a plus in a fast-paced travel environment.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates welcome; on-the-job training provided.
  • Familiar with flight booking processes; GDS experience is an advantage (e.g. Sabre / Amadeus / Galileo).
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive and able to manage tasks independently.

Responsibilities

  • Handle flight enquiries, reservations, ticket issuance, and GDS operations.
  • Ensure booking details are accurate (passenger name, flight details, timing).
  • Manage ticket changes, cancellations, refunds, and urgent cases.
  • Liaise with airlines and ticketing suppliers daily; obtain and update schedules and fares.
  • Assist in handling flight disruptions such as delays, cancellations, and changes.
  • Monitor and follow up on all ticketing orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Support sales team and clients on ticketing-related enquiries.
  • Provide suitable flight options and solutions based on client needs.
  • Maintain proper records of ticketing transactions and documentation; update internal systems.
  • Assist with hotel bookings and basic travel itinerary information when workload is low.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ticketing & IATA Operations (Core Responsibility)

  • Handle flight enquiries, reservations, ticket issuance, and GDS system operations

Ensure accuracy of all booking details (passenger name, flight details, timing, etc.)

  • Handle ticket changes, cancellations, refunds, and urgent cases
  • Liaise with airlines and ticketing suppliers on a daily basis
  • Obtain and update flight schedules, fares, and policy changes
  • Assist in handling flight disruptions such as delays, cancellations, and changes

3. Booking Follow-up & Customer Support

  • Monitor and follow up on all ticketing orders to ensure timely completion
  • Support sales team and clients on ticketing-related enquiries
  • Provide suitable flight options and solutions based on client needs

4. Documentation & System Management

  • Maintain proper records of ticketing transactions and documentation
  • Ensure timely updates of booking information in internal systems
  • Support finance team in reconciliation and ticketing-related reporting

5. Basic Operations Support (Non-core Duties)

(Only when ticketing workload is low)

  • Assist with hotel bookings
  • Assist in organizing basic travel itinerary information
  • Assist with document and record organization

Note: All ticketing-related tasks take priority over other duties at all times.

Requirements
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with a strong willingness and ability to learn are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Familiar with flight booking processes; GDS experience is an advantage (e.g. Sabre / Amadeus / Galileo)
  • Candidates without experience must demonstrate strong learning ability
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive and able to manage tasks independently
Language Requirements
  • Fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients (required)
  • Good command of English
  • Basic communication in Bahasa Malaysia
