Job summary

Veltech Engineers Indonesia seeks experienced Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineers to support projects in Malaysia. The role focuses on LV & MV electrical systems, RMUs, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and related equipment, with hands-on testing, commissioning, and rigorous documentation.

Responsibilities include pre-commissioning, comprehensive testing, report preparation, and coordination with clients, consultants, OEM vendors, and construction teams on site in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning.
• Strong experience in LV & MV systems.
• Hands-on experience with RMU, MV switchgear, transformers, LV switchboards, and electrical protection systems.
• Knowledge of protection relays and relay testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for LV & MV electrical systems.
• Carry out testing of LV switchboards, MV switchgear, RMUs, transformers, cables, and associated electrical equipment.
• Perform insulation resistance (IR), continuity, contact resistance, winding resistance, turns ratio, polarity, vector group, and other required electrical tests.
• Conduct transformer testing and commissioning, including functional checks and protection verification.
• Perform MV/LV cable testing, including VLF/Hipot testing where applicable.
• Conduct protection relay testing and secondary injection testing.
• Perform CT/PT testing, polarity checks, ratio tests, and functional verification.
• Carry out circuit breaker testing, including timing, contact resistance, insulation resistance, and functional operation.
• Test and commission RMU panels, including interlocking and protection functions.
• Support primary injection and secondary injection testing activities.
• Verify electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and protection settings.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and support rectification works during commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, OEM vendors, and construction teams.
• Prepare test reports, commissioning reports, checklists, and punch-list clearance documentation.
• Ensure all testing activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.

We are looking for experienced Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineers to support our projects in Malaysia. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and documentation for LV & MV electrical systems, including RMUs, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and associated equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for LV & MV electrical systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning.

Strong experience in LV & MV systems.

Hands‑on experience with RMU, MV switchgear, transformers, LV switchboards, and electrical protection systems.

Knowledge of protection relays and relay testing equipment.

Experience using electrical testing equipment such as:

• Micro-ohmmeter / Contact Resistance Tester
• Winding Resistance Tester
• Primary Injection Test Set
• Secondary Injection Test Kit
• VLF / HV Test Equipment
• Ability to read and understand SLDs, schematic drawings, and electrical protection diagrams.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prepare professional testing and commissioning reports.

Preferred Experience
