Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) is seeking M&E professionals to form a T&C team for project handover. You will manage the full lifecycle planning, drawing review, and testing coordination for M&E systems, and you may travel across Malaysia and Asia to support inspections.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 10+ years in LV/ELV/ACMV and 3+ years in M&E testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in LV, ELV, ACMV, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Drainage.
• 3+ years in M&E system testing and commissioning.
• Familiar with Malaysian M&E testing procedures.
• Able to travel within Malaysia and Asia and attend inspections.
• Mandarin speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle planning, drawing submission, and method statement approval for M&E testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate resolution of technical issues between M&E and civil/structural works on site.
• Review M&E drawings, SLDs, schematics and CSD for accuracy.
• Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve drawing issues.
• Verify handover documents and certifications (testing certificates, O&M manuals, warranties).

Job description

We are looking for M&E professionals to form a T&C team to support the company project handover. The team needs to know about all the M&E T&C and interconnection commissioning, and also need to be able to travel in Malaysia and Asia (e.g., Indonesia, Thailand).

Key responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the entire lifecycle planning, drawing and method statement submission for M&E testing and commissioning
• Resolve technical coordination issues between M&E systems and civil/steel structure works on site
• Read, review, and interpret M&E construction drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), schematic layouts, and combined services drawings (CSD)
• Collaborate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical drawing issues
• Verify that installations follow approved M&E shop drawings, project specifications, and local authority regulations (e.g. TNB, Bomba, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, SPAN)
• Ensure all M&E equipment and components FAT & T&C approval as Spec request
• Supervise pre-commissioning and functional testing (e.g., IR test, continuity test, water pressure test, fire alarm loop test)
• Coordinate with system specialists (e.g., HV, lift, CCTV, PA, BMS, genset) for final commissioning and integration
• Verify certification and compliance for handover documents (e.g., testing certificates, Inspection Record, O&M manuals, warranties)

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 10 years experience in LV, ELV, ACMV, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Drainage works
• At least 3 years experience in M&E system testing and commissioning
• Familiar with Malaysian M&E system testing and commissioning procedures
• Able to work independently and attend consultant/client inspections
• Good understanding of TNB, Bomba, SPAN, ST, and CIDB requirements
• Strong ability to interpret M&E drawings and coordinate with other disciplines
• Mandarin speaking in advance
• Willing to travel within Malaysia or Asia
