Job summary

CASACITI SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC & Commissioning Engineer to support data center electrical projects. You will manage QA/QC, coordinate inspections, and prepare MOPs and ITPs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key duties include MIR management, RFI/WIR submissions, and coordinating testing activities with consultants and clients. This role requires strong documentation, communication, and on-site support for commissioning and energisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/GED in Electrical engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant electrical QA/QC experience.
• Experience in Data Center, mission-critical facilities, industrial or commercial electrical projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and material approvals.
• Coordinate material inspection, installation inspection and mock-up inspection with consultants/clients.
• Prepare and submit RFI/WIR, inspection checklists and related QA/QC documentation.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Coordinate electrical testing activities including Megger, continuity and earth resistance testing.
• Arrange testing schedules and coordinate witnessing by consultants/clients.
• Review test results and ensure testing aligns with project specs and procedures.
• Prepare and compile electrical testing and inspection reports.
• Prepare Method Statements, MOP, testing procedures and checklists.
• Support testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Track inspection status, NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintain QA/QC records for project handover and final documentation.

Electrical QA/QC & Commissioning Engineer – Data Center

We are looking for an experienced Electrical QA/QC & Commissioning Engineer to support our Data Center electrical projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical quality control, inspection coordination, testing arrangements, technical documentation and Method of Procedure (MOP) preparation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate electrical Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and material approval submissions.

Coordinate material inspection, installation inspection and mock-up inspection with consultant/client.

Prepare and submit RFI/WIR, inspection checklists and related QA/QC documentation.

Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

Coordinate electrical testing activities, including cable insulation resistance (Megger) testing, continuity testing, earth resistance testing and other electrical tests.

Arrange testing schedules and coordinate witnessing by consultant/client.

Review test results and ensure testing is carried out in accordance with project specifications and approved procedures.

Prepare and compile electrical testing and inspection reports.

Prepare Method Statements, Method of Procedure (MOP), testing procedures and checklists.

Support electrical testing & commissioning and energisation activities.

Coordinate with Project Manager, Project Engineer, Site Engineer, subcontractors, suppliers, consultant and client.

Track inspection status, outstanding comments, NCRs and corrective actions.

Maintain proper QA/QC records for project handover and final documentation.

Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality and testing issues during project execution.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant electrical QA/QC experience.

Experience in Data Center, mission-critical facility, industrial or commercial electrical projects is highly preferred.

Good knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, including MSB, MDB, DB, transformer, MV/LV switchgear, cables and related systems.

Experience in electrical testing and commissioning is an advantage.

Able to understand SLD, schematic diagrams, shop drawings and technical specifications.

Experience preparing MIR, RFI/WIR, ITP, Method Statement, MOP and testing reports.

Good communication and coordination skills with consultants, clients and subcontractors.

Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

Willing to work on construction sites and support project requirements when necessary.
