Job summary

MNC manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a technician to perform end-of-line testing, burn-in tests, and basic assembly of semiconductor equipment. You will calibrate machinery, including wafer-handling robots, and execute established test plans to verify performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform end-of-line testing and burn-in tests on semiconductor equipment according to procedures and customer specs.
• Carry out basic assembly, setup, adjustment and calibration of semiconductor equipment, including wafer-handling robots and module subassemblies.
• Execute test plans and procedures to verify equipment functionality and performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing software to identify basic faults and escalate complex issues.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test specifications to ensure accurate testing.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to support process improvements and Lean manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with cleanroom, ESD, safety, and 5S standards.

Job description

This role involves performing end-of-line testing and burn-in tests on semiconductor equipment according to established procedures and customer specifications, along with basic assembly, setup, adjustment and calibration of semiconductor equipment, including wafer-handling robots and module subassemblies.

Company: MNC manufacturing company

Salary: Up to RM3,500 + RM300 fixed transport allowance + meal allowance + shift allowance + OT

Working days: Monday to Friday (rotational shifts)

Key responsibilities

• Perform end-of-line testing and burn-in tests on semiconductor equipment according to established procedures and customer specifications
• Carry out basic assembly, setup, adjustment, and calibration of semiconductor equipment, including wafer-handling robots and module subassemblies
• Execute assigned test plans and procedures to verify equipment functionality and performance
• Use diagnostic tools and testing software to identify basic equipment faults and elevate complex issues to senior technicians or engineers
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and test specifications to ensure accurate testing
• Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment performance, and technical issues in relevant systems and reports
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support process improvements, line balancing, and daily production activities
• Ensure compliance with cleanroom, ESD, workplace safety, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing standards, while supporting other assigned duties

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic or mechanical assembly, testing, or manufacturing environment
• Willing to work rotating shifts (1-shift, 2-shift or 3-shift systems), including overnight shifts, depending on production requirements
• Ability to interpret technical instructions, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain quality standards
