Job summary

IOT Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Test Technician to perform failure analysis and troubleshooting on production fallouts. You will identify faults at ICT and board levels, coordinate repairs, and re-verify units to return to production within the shift.

Working across line Engineers and production teams, you will provide feedback on failure modes and help drive long-term corrective actions to prevent repeats.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in production test troubleshooting or failure analysis.
• Experience with ICT failure breakdown and schematic/board-level troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and self-motivated to maintain shift efficiency and quality.

Job description

IOT Manufacturing is seeking a Test Technician to conduct failure analysis and technical troubleshooting on production fallouts. You will identify and isolate component or board-level faults, coordinate with repair and production teams to fix and re-verify failed units, and work with line Engineers to provide feedback on failure modes and drive corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

Conduct fast, precise failure analysis and technical troubleshooting on production fallouts and rejected Units Under Test (UUTs)

Identify and isolate component or board-level faults from In-Circuit Test (ICT) and functional test failures

Coordinate directly with the repair and production teams to fix and re-verify failed UUTs, returning them back to production within the shift

Work alongside line Engineers to provide feedback on failure modes, helping drive long-term corrective actions to eliminate repeat defects

About you

Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 2 years of hands-on working experience in production test troubleshooting or failure analysis

Practical background in ICT failure breakdown, functional circuit testing, and schematic/board-level troubleshooting

Good analytical capabilities and strong problem-solving skills

Clear communication with cross-functional team members

Proactive, self-motivated, and dedicated to maintaining shift efficiency and quality standards
