Job summary

Coherent Corp. Malaysia (Ipoh) seeks a diploma-qualified technician to maintain test equipment, minimize downtime, and perform periodic device validation.

You will work to improve test setup ergonomics and efficiency through elimination, simplification, integration and automation. Responsibilities include supporting test yield and testability improvements, ensuring safety, ESD, Cleanroom and housekeeping compliance, and adhering to ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience.
• Good computer literacy and communication skills.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in tester debug or verification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tester operating minimize test equipment down time.
• Responsible for the periodic DV of tester.
• Improve test setup ergonomic and test operating efficiency thru elimination, simplification, integration and automation approaches.
• Support test yield and testability enhancement project for all products.
• Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
• SPC monitoring of tester performance.
• Practice Risk Based Thinking in planning and execution of task.
• Authorized to stop any tester if the tester facing quality or safety issue.
• Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Derive Continual Improvement. Practice Risk Based Planning and execution.

Job Requirements:

Education: Diploma of in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant.

Experience: At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.

Special Skills:

• With good computer literacy, good communication skill.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in tester debug or verification.
